About this role
Momentus seeks an experienced Sales Solution Engineer to develop space-based mission concepts and translate customer requirements into compelling technical narratives that showcase the company's in-space transportation capabilities. This role bridges engineering expertise with business acumen, requiring someone who can navigate complex programmatic environments while partnering with internal teams to deliver customer success.
What you'll do
- Develop complete space-based mission concepts and technical proposals aligned with Momentus offerings and customer needs
- Translate program requirements into clear technical narratives demonstrating how Momentus capabilities meet customer constraints and outcomes
- Pitch and sell complex space systems solutions to program managers and technical stakeholders with credibility and domain expertise
- Navigate programmatic realities including requirements development, budgeting cycles, contracting, and stakeholder coordination
- Perform engineering trade studies, develop system budgets, and evaluate spacecraft performance and constellation configurations
- Partner with product managers and engineers to ensure mission context is reflected in technical scope and delivery plans
