About this role

MoonPay is seeking a Software Engineer to build AI-powered agent systems for their value-movement platform serving 30M+ customers. You'll work on high-impact problems in a remote, fast-paced environment where AI integration and ownership-driven development are core to the culture.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement agent systems that automate and enhance MoonPay's value-movement operations
  • Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to integrate AI capabilities across the platform
  • Write scalable, maintainable code for crypto/fintech systems handling high transaction volumes
  • Take ownership of features from conception through deployment and optimization
  • Participate in code review and help establish engineering best practices
  • Debug and resolve production issues with high accountability

  • Software engineering fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, system design)
  • Experience with AI/LLM integration or agent frameworks
  • Backend development (Python, Go, Rust, or similar)
  • API design and integration
  • Database and distributed systems knowledge
  • Testing and debugging practices

  • Problem-solving and rapid iteration
