IT Security & Identity Engineer
About this role
Neuralink seeks a hands-on IT Security & Identity Engineer to design, deploy, and operate identity and endpoint security across the corporate environment. You will own identity providers, SSO federation, endpoint protection, and security logging while managing infrastructure as code in Terraform, balancing security rigor with operational speed for a fast-moving company.
What you'll do
- Design and operate identity and access management across Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra, and SaaS applications using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD
- Implement strong authentication including phishing-resistant MFA (FIDO2/WebAuthn, passkeys) and certificate-based authentication
- Manage endpoint security posture across macOS, Windows, and Linux including EDR policy, disk encryption, baselines, and MDM compliance
- Build and maintain security logging, detection, and alerting for identity abuse and endpoint compromise across corporate systems
- Drive identity lifecycle automation from onboarding through offboarding with role-based access control and just-in-time access
- Lead vulnerability management scanning, prioritization, and remediation workflows; participate in on-call incident response rotation
