Global Sites Engineer (Early Career)
About this role
Northwood seeks a hands-on Global Sites Engineer to deploy and operate a worldwide network of satellite ground stations. You'll design hardware, select and build sites across the globe, manage operations, and collaborate with international partners to deliver critical space communications infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Deploy antennas, power systems, racks, and infrastructure at ground station sites globally with frequent international travel
- Lead design, production, and testing of electrical and mechanical ground support equipment
- Design site architecture and optimize deployment speed and cost for new stations
- Monitor live operations, troubleshoot system performance issues, and ensure peak station uptime
- Coordinate with domestic and international contractors, partners, and providers to execute site deployments
- Collaborate across engineering disciplines to solve complex hardware and site integration challenges
