About this role
Numeric is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Data Infrastructure team and contribute to the development of their Financial Data Platform. This role focuses on building and maintaining the lakehouse architecture that ingests, transforms, and serves financial data, ensuring data accuracy, security, and scalability for accounting modules, reporting, and AI agents. You'll have end-to-end ownership of a piece of the architecture and collaborate closely with various teams.
What you'll do
- Build and optimize data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources (APIs, files, databases).
- Enforce data contracts and schema management across the platform.
- Implement data security measures, including query scoping and access controls.
- Develop batch processing and event-driven accounting systems.
- Ensure data correctness and observability through completeness checks and explanatory links.
- Contribute to reporting scalability and query performance optimization.
