About this role
Nuro seeks a Software Engineer to develop sensor and compute platform software for autonomous vehicles, focusing on device drivers, inter-device protocols, and runtime APIs. You'll architect reliable hardware-agnostic systems that enable perception and autonomy stacks while collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers on next-generation hardware integration.
What you'll do
- Design and develop sensor and compute systems for autonomous robotics platforms
- Architect and deploy sensor and autonomous software with emphasis on reliability and performance
- Implement metrics monitoring, automated testing, and vendor collaboration to ensure software quality
- Debug complex systems, identify root causes of failures, and deploy effective solutions
- Lead cross-functional projects on sensor and compute systems for autonomous vehicles
- Define, evaluate, and integrate next-generation hardware platforms with necessary tooling
