About this role

Oklo seeks an Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to design, integrate, commission, and operate instrumentation and control systems for advanced nuclear technology test platforms in Idaho Falls. You'll translate technical requirements into reliable measurement and control functions, working across multidisciplinary teams throughout the system lifecycle with up to 10% travel.

What you'll do

  • Design control-system architectures, I/O strategies, and network concepts for test platforms and facility systems
  • Select and specify instruments for temperature, pressure, flow, level, position, and other measurements while evaluating accuracy and environmental suitability
  • Develop, configure, and verify control logic, operator graphics, alarms, interlocks, and data-acquisition functions using distributed control systems and PLCs
  • Prepare engineering documentation including loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, control narratives, and as-built records
  • Develop and execute design-verification activities, factory and site acceptance tests, loop checks, and startup plans
  • Support test operations, diagnose instrumentation and control issues, and implement corrective actions
