About this role

Oklo seeks a Nuclear Operations Engineer to develop and implement operational capabilities for safe commissioning, startup, and operation of advanced nuclear facilities. This remote-primary role translates plant designs and safety requirements into practical operating methods, procedures, and programs while supporting system turnover, testing, and operational readiness across projects.

What you'll do

  • Develop operational programs, processes, and procedures including normal, abnormal, emergency, and surveillance operating procedures
  • Translate design-basis, safety, and regulatory requirements into practical operational requirements and work products
  • Support system turnover, preoperational testing, commissioning, startup, and operational-readiness activities
  • Serve as system owner, technical lead, or subject-matter expert for assigned systems and project phases
  • Provide operations input during design reviews to improve operability, maintainability, and human performance
  • Support operator training, simulator development, control-room interface design, and alarm strategies
