About this role
Oklo seeks a Probabilistic Risk Assessment Engineer to develop risk analysis models for advanced fast reactor designs, support licensing efforts, and translate risk insights into design improvements. You'll collaborate with engineering teams to conduct quantitative analyses, evaluate hazards, and drive safety enhancements in a fast-paced startup environment.
What you'll do
- Develop probabilistic risk analysis models for fast reactor designs
- Conduct hazard evaluations using FMEA and other techniques to identify initiating events
- Build and quantify event trees and fault trees for risk assessment
- Analyze event sequences and compile risk insights for engineering teams
- Support licensing activities by generating technical reports and analyses
- Incorporate risk findings into design improvements to enhance reliability and safety
