About this role
Olsson seeks a Project Mechanical Engineer to lead facilities engineering and design for large commercial, healthcare, laboratory, and institutional projects. You'll independently manage complex mechanical engineering tasks, supervise staff, and deliver high-quality designs while collaborating across teams in a hybrid role based in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska.
What you'll do
- Perform detailed mechanical engineering design, cost estimation, and design calculations for diverse project types
- Prepare and manage project documentation while maintaining adherence to scope, schedule, and budget constraints
- Develop independent solutions to complex engineering assignments using advanced techniques and procedures
- Supervise and mentor less experienced engineering staff while coordinating cross-functional team efforts
- Collaborate with project managers to track progress, manage challenges, and ensure project objectives are met
- Attend client meetings and participate in scope development to maintain strong client partnerships
