About this role
onX seeks an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain infrastructure enabling reliable deployments at scale across their outdoor technology platform. You'll manage infrastructure-as-code, deployment automation, and observability systems while supporting millions of users and driving incident response best practices.
What you'll do
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain highly available systems on GCP using Kubernetes, Terraform, CockroachDB, and managed services
- Maintain and extend large Terraform codebases for infrastructure management
- Analyze system performance and make recommendations to optimize availability, performance, and cost
- Automate manual processes and reduce operational toil across infrastructure
- Develop integrations with monitoring and alerting tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Rootly
- Participate in on-call rotation and drive incident response practices across engineering teams
