About this role
Lead end-to-end production deployments of frontier AI models for strategic customers at OpenAI, owning discovery through rollout. Work directly with customer teams to turn research into measurable business impact while feeding field insights back to product and research.
What you'll do
- Own technical delivery of multiple LLM deployments from prototype to stable production
- Build full-stack systems that deliver customer value and enable learning
- Embed with customer teams to understand needs and guide adoption
- Scope work, sequence delivery, and remove blockers to protect timelines
- Share field feedback with Research and Product on model performance and gaps
- Codify working patterns into reusable tools, playbooks, and building blocks
What they're looking for
- 5+ years engineering or technical deployment experience with customer-facing work
- Production-grade coding in Python, JavaScript, or equivalent
- System design and delivery in complex, fast-moving environments
- LLM/generative model experience and understanding of model behavior impact
- Clear communication across engineers, product teams, and stakeholders
- Risk identification and decision-making under pressure
- Full-stack development (frontend and backend)
- Project scoping and trade-off management
