About this role

OpenAI seeks an experienced full-stack engineer to build AI-native financial products within ChatGPT Work and Codex, designing end-to-end experiences that help financial professionals research, analyze, and make decisions. You'll own the entire stack from frontend to backend APIs, work directly with financial institutions to understand workflows, and shape how major firms adopt AI in their knowledge work.

What you'll do

  • Build financial services applications with intuitive AI-native interfaces for company research, financial analysis, and document review
  • Develop product features around enterprise memory that learns from organizational knowledge and workflows
  • Create APIs, backend services, and integrations connecting user experiences to financial data providers and OpenAI models
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate ambiguous customer problems into reliable, polished products
  • Engage directly with financial institutions to understand needs, support deployments, and iterate based on feedback
  • Partner across research, security, and infrastructure teams to move prototypes into scaled production
