About this role

OpenAI seeks an IT Audiovisual Operations Engineer to administer and troubleshoot enterprise AV systems, video conferencing, digital signage, and related infrastructure across offices. You'll resolve vendor escalations, manage installations and upgrades, and develop automation workflows to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.

What you'll do

  • Set up, configure, and maintain conference room AV, video conferencing, background music, and digital signage systems
  • Resolve vendor escalations requiring administrative access and technical expertise, owning full diagnosis and remediation
  • Manage ITAV installation, commissioning, and move/add/change activities for office builds and refreshes
  • Execute software updates, configuration changes, and equipment replacements following established standards
  • Investigate recurring failures and work with Engineering to implement lasting improvements
  • Build and operate AI/agentic workflows to automate administration, troubleshooting, and configuration validation
