About this role

Orchard seeks a Founding Design Engineer to establish and lead the design function across product, brand, marketing, and hardware for an AI-powered agricultural technology company. You'll own design strategy and execution across the entire customer experience, from the FruitScope OS platform to physical spaces and marketing materials, working directly with leadership in a fast-moving early-stage startup.

What you'll do

  • Build and evolve Orchard's design system and establish design principles across the company
  • Lead end-to-end product design for FruitScope OS platform including research, prototypes, and visual design
  • Own brand design across website, sales materials, presentations, and company communications
  • Design marketing collateral including tradeshow booths, field-day experiences, and product packaging
  • Support hardware team with industrial design thinking, documentation, and operator experience design
  • Help define and build the design organization as the company scales
