About this role

Otter is hiring a Sales Engineer in Los Angeles to serve as the technical bridge between enterprise sales and customers—restaurant operators, franchisees, and brands. You'll guide complex deals by running demos, building ROI models, designing pilots, and translating machine learning and platform capabilities into measurable business outcomes for stakeholders ranging from franchisees to CFOs.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Account Executives through the full enterprise sales cycle, from discovery through technical validation and close
  • Lead customized product demos and technical discovery sessions for franchise owners, marketing leads, finance teams, and IT stakeholders
  • Design and support pilots with defined success metrics, test/control structures, and data-driven readouts
  • Build pre-sale analyses using prospect data and marketplace signals to quantify opportunity size
  • Own technical sections of RFPs and security questionnaires, collaborating with Product and Engineering
  • Gather field feedback on buyer needs, deal blockers, and integration opportunities to inform product roadmap
