About this role
Oura seeks a Compliance Engineer to lead global regulatory certifications for its wearable technology, ensuring products meet safety standards throughout the development lifecycle. You'll drive design-for-compliance initiatives, manage third-party testing relationships, and navigate complex international regulations (FCC, ISED, EU) to bring products to market.
What you'll do
- Lead Design for Compliance initiatives across hardware and firmware teams from concept through launch
- Conduct and oversee in-house and third-party compliance testing and validation
- Manage relationships with external regulatory labs and certification agencies for new product introductions
- Navigate global regulatory standards (FCC, ISED, EU/CE) to ensure market access and sustaining compliance
- Partner with OEM and ODM manufacturing partners on compliance and quality alignment
- Establish compliance function structure and identify critical path dependencies affecting timelines
