About this role

Oura is seeking a Hardware Reliability Engineer to lead reliability testing and validation for their wearable ring products. You'll design test plans, coordinate with manufacturers and labs, perform failure analysis, and drive continuous improvements to ensure devices meet durability and performance standards in real-world conditions.

What you'll do

  • Plan, execute, and document reliability testing for hardware products using established frameworks
  • Coordinate testing activities with contract manufacturers and external labs, including setup and review
  • Develop and improve reliability test methods tailored to wearable technologies and design challenges
  • Support failure analysis and root cause investigations with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions
  • Build test-to-field correlations and refine test plans based on field performance data
  • Perform DFMEA and risk assessments to identify potential failure modes early in design
