Security Systems Engineer
About this role
Palantir seeks a Security Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain physical security infrastructure across global offices and operations. You'll lead technology research, manage end-to-end security projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure protection of people, assets, and intellectual property while balancing technical innovation with operational reliability.
What you'll do
- Design and oversee technical aspects of physical security projects from conception through deployment
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise security systems including video management, access control, and intrusion detection
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation with regular status reporting to leadership
- Create and maintain security documentation, standard operating procedures, and compliance protocols
- Schedule and implement system upgrades, patches, and new releases while ensuring minimal operational disruption
- Validate security controls meet regulatory requirements (GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS) and internal policies
