Join a renewable energy startup as the foundational Corporate Network Engineer to design and build enterprise network infrastructure from scratch across Portland headquarters and future facilities. You'll own wired and wireless network architecture, establish scalable standards, and drive both hands-on implementation and strategic planning in a fast-growing, technically talented team.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement corporate wired and wireless network infrastructure across Portland campus and expanding locations
  • Establish network standards, architectural patterns, and best practices to support rapid facility and headcount growth
  • Build and maintain high-performance wireless networks for dense user environments and lab equipment
  • Develop automation tools and monitoring solutions for network reliability and incident response
  • Partner with Facilities to integrate network infrastructure into office, lab, and industrial buildouts
  • Manage vendor relationships, circuit procurement, equipment lifecycle, and network security controls including segmentation and firewall policies

  • Enterprise IP network design and operations (5+ years)
  • Firewall management, routing protocols, VLANs, layer 2/3 switching
  • Enterprise wireless network design and troubleshooting at scale
  • Network configuration automation and scripting
  • Physical infrastructure: structured cabling, IDF/MDF design, equipment installation
  • Network security: segmentation, 802.1X, firewall policies
  • Linux/Unix systems administration
  • Cloud connectivity (GCP, Azure)
