Plus
Software Verification & Validation Engineer
About this role
Plus AI seeks a Software Verification & Validation Engineer to design safety metrics and build automated simulation test frameworks for autonomous truck software. You'll own the validation pipeline from metrics definition through CI/CD integration, ensuring rigorous quality gates for perception, prediction, planning, and control algorithms.
What you'll do
- Define and implement quantitative safety and comfort metrics for AV algorithm modules (Perception, Prediction, Motion Planning, Control)
- Build and maintain open-loop and closed-loop simulation test suites to benchmark performance and stress-test software releases
- Analyze simulation data to identify genuine regressions versus artifacts and perform root cause analysis
- Write Python automation scripts and extend testing frameworks for test execution, data ingestion, and reporting
- Integrate automated regression suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) for multi-stage daily build validation
- Establish reproducible testing practices with strict artifact management and quantitative validation standards
What they're looking for
- Python scripting and automation
- Simulation testing and open/closed-loop test design
- CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins or similar)
- Statistical analysis and metrics definition
- Root cause analysis and failure triage
- Autonomous vehicle or robotics domain knowledge
- Test framework development and extension
- Data validation and quality assurance
