Software Engineer, Dev Tools

About this role

Polymarket seeks a Software Engineer to own developer experience across APIs, SDKs, and documentation. You'll identify integration friction, ship improvements that accelerate time-to-value for external developers, and partner with internal teams to raise the bar for dev tooling quality.

What you'll do

• Improve quality, consistency, and usability of APIs, SDKs, and developer documentation
• Identify and resolve integration friction to help developers achieve success faster
• Debug developer issues and gather feedback to inform prioritization
• Collaborate with engineering teams on cross-functional Dev Tooling initiatives
• Drive autonomous workstreams with measurable impact on adoption and developer experience
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate implementation, debugging, and documentation

What they're looking for

• TypeScript and/or JavaScript
• At least one strongly typed compiled language (Rust, Go, C#, Kotlin, Swift, or C++)
• SDK and API design and maintenance
• API and SDK fluency with understanding of developer-friendly interfaces
• Technical writing and documentation quality
• AI tool proficiency (6+ months demonstrated use)
• Product judgment and autonomy in fast-moving environments
• React integration experience (preferred)
