About this role
PrizePicks seeks a Senior Ruby on Rails engineer to own feature development for their Daily Fantasy Sports platform's core backend services. You'll drive architectural decisions, mentor junior engineers, and deliver complex features across shopping, search, and live game experiences while maintaining high code quality.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end feature development in Rails-based backend services powering shopping, merchandising, and live experiences
- Participate in architectural decisions around data modeling, service boundaries, API design, and background processing
- Write idiomatic, performant, and well-tested Ruby code while raising codebase standards
- Guide and mentor Software Engineers I and II through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback
- Identify and execute improvements to code quality, performance, and developer experience
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to align technical implementation with product goals
