About this role
PrizePicks is seeking a Software Engineer III with strong Ruby on Rails expertise to own feature development for their gamification and loyalty platform. You'll deliver complex end-to-end features, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural decisions for systems handling millions of daily transactions in the daily fantasy sports space.
What you'll do
- Own feature development end-to-end, from technical design through delivery in Rails-based backend services
- Write high-quality, idiomatic, performant Ruby code with comprehensive testing
- Contribute to architectural decisions around data modeling, service boundaries, and API design
- Guide and mentor Software Engineers I and II through code reviews and pairing sessions
- Proactively identify and act on opportunities to improve code quality, performance, and reliability
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and QA teams
