About this role

Probook seeks its first design engineer to own the full product experience across web, mobile, and browser extension for an AI operating system serving home services businesses. You'll design and build frontend features end-to-end, establishing the visual language and interaction patterns for a product used by thousands of field operators.

What you'll do

  • Design and ship production frontend code across web app, mobile, and Chrome extension
  • Establish Probook's visual identity, typography, and interaction patterns from scratch
  • Conduct user research by observing operators in the field and incorporating feedback into shipped features
  • Partner with engineers and founders to move from product spec to production deployment
  • Iterate rapidly using AI-assisted tools to explore multiple solutions within hours
  • Maintain UI/UX quality and consistency across all three product surfaces

What they're looking for

  • Product design (4–6 years experience)
  • Frontend development with shipping-to-production track record
  • UI/UX design and visual systems
  • B2B or operations-heavy product knowledge
  • Rapid prototyping and iteration
  • Communication of design rationale
  • Mobile and web application design
  • AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor)
