About this role
Everpure seeks an experienced Hardware Design Engineer to lead the development and qualification of high-performance storage systems. You'll design x86-based storage arrays, manage hardware validation from concept to production, and mentor junior engineers while driving technical innovation across a cross-functional team.
What you'll do
- Lead hardware design and qualification projects from concept through production, including architecture design, validation, and failure analysis
- Define and execute automated hardware validation frameworks to improve test coverage and product robustness
- Collaborate with software, operations, manufacturing, and support teams to integrate new storage subsystems into production
- Serve as escalation point for internal testbeds and complex customer hardware issues, performing root cause analysis
- Mentor junior engineers and pioneer new techniques to harden system designs
- Review high-speed signal integrity, power distribution, thermal dynamics, and CPU subsystem design across storage platforms

- x86 system architecture and CPU subsystems (DDR5, chipsets, BMC, NVMe, power supplies)
- High-speed bus protocols (PCIe, UPI, SAS/SATA, I²C, I³C, SPI, SVID)
- High-speed Ethernet technologies and signal integrity analysis using oscilloscopes and bus analyzers
- Power analysis, thermal management, and electrical signal integrity expertise
- Python and Bash scripting for hardware test automation and qualification
- Verilog and CPLD hardware logic design
- Industry stress/qualification tools (PTAT, Mprime, Iometer, Linpack, StressAppTest)
- AI tools (Claude, Gemini) for design checks and diagnostic dashboards
