About this role
Pure Storage seeks a Quality Systems Engineer to ensure the highest quality releases of FlashArray and FlashBlade storage products. You'll lead testing and qualification efforts, design automation frameworks, and collaborate with support teams to validate complex hardware/software storage systems serving mission-critical applications.
What you'll do
- Plan, execute, and qualify shipping releases to ensure production-grade quality
- Design and build test automation tools to streamline testing and integration workflows
- Perform manual, automated, and ad-hoc testing across multi-machine hardware/software storage stacks
- Triage, debug, and root-cause failures in automated tests and customer-reported issues
- Identify test gaps and perform analysis to close defect loops with release engineering
- Partner with Support and Escalation teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues

- Storage stack expertise (RAID, caching, deduplication, replication, filesystems)
- Storage protocols (Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NVMe, NFS, SMB)
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack)
- IO performance tools (vdbench, Orion, IOmeter)
- Linux, Windows, and VMware operating systems
- Root cause analysis and failure scenario design
- Database technologies (Oracle, SQL) and OOP concepts
