Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
ReadMe seeks a Forward Deploy Engineer to manage enterprise customer relationships end-to-end, from implementation through expansion. You'll be the primary technical and strategic contact for a book of accounts, owning onboarding, adoption, renewals, and growth while collaborating closely with customers and internal teams.
What you'll do
- Manage enterprise accounts through full lifecycle: onboarding, adoption, renewals, and expansion opportunities
- Lead customer calls including implementation kickoffs, working sessions, QBRs, and escalations as primary technical contact
- Serve as product SME—debug issues, answer technical questions, review OpenAPI specs, and troubleshoot integrations (CI/CD, auth, custom code)
- Get hands-on with implementation tasks: configure SSO, wire up CLI/API syncing, prototype solutions before Engineering handoff
- Identify expansion opportunities and partner with Sales to close them; advocate for customers internally on product feedback and risks
- Leverage AI tools to draft plans, analyze account health, triage requests, and automate repetitive work
