About this role

Realm seeks a Software Engineering intern to build AI-powered features for mining operations. You'll work on a TypeScript backend serving real-time data, apply LLMs and computer vision to production systems, and ship code directly to active mine sites alongside a senior engineering team.

What you'll do

  • Develop backend features in TypeScript/Node.js for real-time mining operations data
  • Build and deploy end-to-end features using LLMs (Claude, GPT, Gemini) for intelligent analysis
  • Contribute to computer vision pipelines leveraging AWS Rekognition and TensorFlow
  • Deploy code to production via Kubernetes with CI/CD
  • Collaborate with users to translate operational challenges into product features
  • Work independently and come up to speed on production codebases
