Front End Software Engineer, Consumer Engineering
About this role
Reddit seeks a Front End Software Engineer to build and scale consumer-facing products across feeds, community tools, growth, monetization, and identity features. You'll partner with product, design, and data teams to deliver user-centric features at scale, using modern frameworks and data-driven experimentation to impact hundreds of millions of users.
What you'll do
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and Data Scientists to translate business needs into scalable frontend solutions
- Own end-to-end delivery of product initiatives including technical design, development, testing, and observability
- Design and build A/B experiments, analyze user behavior with BigQuery and Firebase, and iterate based on data insights
- Build and maintain scalable APIs (GraphQL, REST, gRPC) and optimize performance for client consumption
- Establish engineering best practices, improve developer workflows, and mentor teammates
- Contribute to core product areas including Home Experience, Recommendations, Community Tools, Notifications, and Account Management
