About this role

Redhorse Corporation seeks an experienced Database Engineer to design, build, and maintain database systems in AWS for mission-critical applications. You'll manage data modeling, security controls, migration from legacy systems, and ensure compliance with sensitive data handling requirements.

What you'll do

  • Design logical and physical data models and relational database architecture in AWS (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3)
  • Implement database-level security controls including role/attribute-based access, encryption, and least-privilege accounts
  • Analyze legacy systems and execute data migration including source analysis, mapping, and transformation
  • Write, optimize, and tune SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexes for performance and scalability
  • Design backup, recovery, and replication solutions; define and test RPO/RTO targets
  • Monitor database health, troubleshoot production issues, and establish schema change control in CI/CD pipeline
