Systems Engineer
About this role
Join REGENT's Certification team as a Systems Engineer to build the regulatory and technical foundation for Seagliders—advanced wing-in-ground-effect vessels. You'll own requirements development, verification, traceability, and safety analyses across assigned systems, working across electrical, mechanical, and software teams to ensure compliance with international and domestic certification standards.
What you'll do
- Author, manage, and verify system requirements at multiple levels, deriving them from regulatory documents and safety analyses
- Conduct system safety analyses including Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Work with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure requirements are tracked and help resolve design challenges
- Develop and oversee verification programs and testing approaches to demonstrate requirements are met
- Maintain requirements traceability in management tools to support regulatory audit readiness
- Recommend process improvements for systems engineering and requirements organization as the program scales

- Requirements engineering and traceability management (JAMA, Polarion, DOORS, or equivalent)
- System-level testing and verification methodologies
- Safety analysis techniques (FHA, FTA, FMEA/FMECA)
- Regulatory compliance and certification standards knowledge
- Cross-disciplinary technical communication and collaboration
- Experience in aerospace, maritime, medical, nuclear, or other regulated industries
- Systems thinking and problem-solving in ambiguous environments
- Technical foundation in aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, electrical, mechanical, or control systems
