About this role

Relativity Space seeks a Performance Engineer II to join the Integrated Performance team, owning trajectory design, simulation, and optimization for the Terran R rocket. You'll develop software tooling, conduct multi-disciplinary trade studies, and collaborate across vehicle engineering teams to ensure mission success from concept through flight operations.

  • Integrate design data into full mission simulations and collaborate with design teams on updates
  • Develop and optimize launch and orbital trajectory software across customer missions
  • Lead interdisciplinary trade analyses to inform vehicle, trajectory, and operations decisions
  • Define and maintain vehicle and trajectory design requirements throughout development
  • Implement and improve simulation software tooling across multiple programming languages
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across Vehicle Engineering teams
