About this role
Relativity Space seeks a GNC Simulation Engineer I to develop and maintain 6DOF simulations for the Terran R rocket, supporting flight algorithm development, Monte Carlo analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop testing. You'll implement physics models, numerical solvers, and simulation interfaces while collaborating with analysis and hardware teams in a fast-paced aerospace startup environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and integrate subsystem models into the 6DOF simulation platform
- Implement numerical solvers and physics-based models for flight dynamics
- Build simulation configuration, scheduling, logging, and Monte Carlo capabilities
- Create interfaces between simulations and GNC algorithms
- Maintain and enhance the simulation development environment for end users
- Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and cross-functional software initiatives
