About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to design and execute test processes for Terran R rocket components at their Long Beach headquarters. You'll develop test procedures, collaborate with design teams, support technicians on the factory floor, and drive continuous improvement across high-impact test campaigns involving propulsion systems, structural assemblies, and fluid systems.
What you'll do
- Develop detailed process plans, work instructions, and work orders for integration and testing of flight hardware including propulsion components and structural assemblies
- Provide design for testability feedback to design and test engineers to ensure hardware robustness in test environments
- Troubleshoot issues on the factory floor, resolve non-conformances, and implement corrective actions during testing
- Coordinate with quality teams on procurement, inspection, and calibration of critical test components
- Conduct Test Readiness Reviews to verify hardware readiness and mitigate risks before test execution
- Analyze process performance and test timelines to drive continuous improvement across test campaigns
