About this role

Join Relativity Space's Materials & Processes team to own material qualification, process development, and engineering standards for the reusable Terran R rocket. You'll drive experimental design, material characterization, and cross-functional collaboration across design, manufacturing, and flight operations.

What you'll do

  • Own materials and processes for reusable Terran R products across engineering disciplines
  • Qualify materials and products for flight and reuse cycles
  • Develop, implement, and maintain technical specifications and engineering standards
  • Design and execute statistically-driven experiments and process improvement campaigns
  • Interface with materials engineering, laboratory, design, and manufacturing teams on material selection and allowables development
  • Support failure analysis and reuse assessment for flight hardware
