About this role
Relativity Space seeks an Operations Engineer II to design and optimize manufacturing systems for the Terran R rocket program in Long Beach. You'll drive improvements across safety, quality, and productivity by applying data analysis, Lean Six Sigma methods, and process engineering to scale production operations.
What you'll do
- Analyze and implement safety, quality, productivity, and logistics improvements using data analysis and Lean Six Sigma methodologies
- Develop operational standards, capacity plans, work center layouts, and material flow strategies across manufacturing teams
- Create and maintain performance dashboards, metrics, and audit tools to monitor manufacturing and distribution operations
- Design standard operating procedures and workflows that balance workforce efficiency with safety and ergonomic compliance
- Execute system and process enhancements including automation pilots and data integrity initiatives to support scalable production
- Lead cross-functional projects to optimize factory and operational capabilities
