Valkey Product Engineer
About this role
Render is seeking a Valkey Product Engineer to operate, maintain, and evolve its Key/Value datastore platform serving millions of developers. You'll own full-stack projects end-to-end, collaborate across teams, and help scale the KV product as the company grows.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain the Render KV fleet at scale
- Take complete ownership of full-stack KV platform projects from design to deployment
- Collaborate with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders on feature development
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for the KV service
- Help evolve KV capabilities and mature the product as complexity increases
- Contribute to team planning, roadmapping, and company culture as Render scales

- Key/Value datastore operation and architecture at scale
- Distributed systems design and troubleshooting
- Go, TypeScript, or other backend languages
- Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform
- Database systems and Postgres experience
- Modern CI/CD and deployment tooling
- Full-stack development across APIs and frontend frameworks
- Cross-functional collaboration and product thinking
