Join Rivian and Volkswagen Group Technologies as an Embedded Systems Software Engineering Intern supporting next-generation infotainment platform development. You'll gain hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, embedded software frameworks, vehicle workload emulation, and diagnostics systems on cutting-edge automotive compute platforms from January to August 2027.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement software application frameworks for infotainment and validation systems
  • Support hardware bring-up and validation of Electrical Control Units (ECUs)
  • Develop test utilities and manufacturing software using C/C++ and Python
  • Emulate vehicle workloads to validate system behavior and power/performance characteristics
  • Debug hardware-software integration issues across camera, display, audio, connectivity, and sensor subsystems
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize diagnostics telemetry data for root cause analysis
