About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an Integration & Test Engineer II to lead spacecraft system integration and testing campaigns, develop and operate environmental test systems, and support the Space Systems team in Long Beach. This role involves managing test plans, ground support equipment, and investigations into vehicle anomalies for missions to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

What you'll do

  • Lead integration and test campaigns across spacecraft development phases
  • Define systems requirements and develop verification and validation plans
  • Create acceptance, qualification, and R&D test plans for spacecraft systems
  • Develop, maintain, and operate environmental test systems (thermal vacuum, vibration, EMI, etc.)
  • Design and maintain mechanical and electrical ground support equipment
  • Lead anomaly investigations and interface with flight software configuration

  • Environmental testing (thermal vacuum, vibration)
  • Satellite subsystems knowledge (CDH, ADCS, EPS, COMM)
  • Electrical test equipment operation (oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies)
  • 3D CAD software (preferably NX)
  • RF testing and hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Clean room and ESD procedures
  • Linux systems and basic networking
  • Spacecraft harness design and signal conditioning
