About this role
Rocket Lab seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to debug and optimize avionics and electro-mechanical systems for spacecraft and launch vehicles. You'll troubleshoot production issues, improve manufacturing processes, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure designs are manufacturable in a fast-paced aerospace environment.
What you'll do
- Debug and troubleshoot electro-mechanical and avionics systems in production
- Optimize manufacturing processes and support design-for-manufacturability efforts
- Identify and resolve production issues through root cause analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements
- Support environmental and production acceptance testing (vibration, thermal, vacuum, etc.)
- Design and implement production line enhancements and build area optimization
