Finance & Strategy AI Engineer
About this role
Samsara seeks a technically skilled engineer to build and operate the Finance & Strategy team's data foundation and AI systems. You'll design scalable pipelines connecting NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive, and Salesforce into a Databricks platform, while developing AI-powered automations for forecasting, planning, and reporting that drive strategic decision-making.
What you'll do
- Architect and own the data foundation and AI roadmap for Finance & Strategy, including modeling strategy and identifying process gaps
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrations across financial systems (Databricks, NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive, Salesforce) for seamless data flow
- Develop agentic-first and AI-powered tools for forecasting, scenario planning, variance analysis, headcount planning, and management reporting
- Lead cross-functional alignment on system workstreams spanning Finance, BizTech, PeopleOps, and Accounting teams
- Maintain and evolve the existing Workday Adaptive Planning instance through the transition to new systems
- Establish data quality standards, best practices, and enable Finance users through documentation, training, and technical support
