About this role
Saronic Technologies seeks an Electrical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to support the design, testing, and optimization of autonomous surface vessels in Austin, TX. You'll work hands-on with electro-mechanical systems, conduct data analysis, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on cutting-edge maritime autonomy projects.
What you'll do
- Support design and prototype development of electro-mechanical systems and software for autonomous surface vessels
- Monitor systems during testing, collect data, and analyze trends in component performance and failures
- Participate in testing and validation of ASV prototypes, autonomy algorithms, and collision avoidance systems
- Assist with power calculations, measurements, and propulsion/control surface integration
- Research and implement solutions for sensor integration, data processing, and machine learning applications
- Document progress, prepare technical reports, and present findings to engineering teams
