About this role

Saronic Technologies seeks a Manufacturing Engineer in Austin to optimize production processes for complex machined and fabricated components used in autonomous maritime systems. You'll partner with machinists and design teams to develop CNC strategies, design tooling, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement from prototype through full-scale production.

What you'll do

  • Develop and optimize CNC machining processes, tooling strategies, and cutting parameters for complex components
  • Design and implement fixtures, jigs, and gauges to improve quality, repeatability, and cycle time
  • Partner with machinists to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions using root-cause analysis
  • Support DFM/DFA activities and collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and scalability
  • Establish process capabilities, inspect methods, and control plans to ensure consistent production performance
  • Create manufacturing documentation including work instructions, setup sheets, and standard operating procedures
