Main System Engineer, Body Systems – Exteriors & Interiors
About this role
Scout Motors seeks a Main System Engineer to integrate and oversee the development of exterior and interior body systems for its electrified SUV platform. You'll coordinate across multiple engineering teams, ensure technical alignment with business objectives, and drive readiness for leadership decision-making forums. This role serves as the operational hub connecting SET leaders, product, manufacturing, and other functions to deliver a cohesive body systems portfolio.
What you'll do
- Coordinate integration and delivery activities across Exteriors and Interiors subsystems including trim, fascias, lighting, glazing, seating, and restraint systems
- Act as central alignment point between System Engineering Team (SET) Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure technical and business objective alignment
- Prepare and assess readiness of deliverables for Main System governance forums and leadership reviews
- Consolidate status reporting on engineering milestones, sourcing progress, risks, and program metrics across multiple SETs
- Identify, track, and escalate dependencies, open issues, and program risks affecting technical, cost, timing, or quality objectives
- Support Main System Lead in strategic communication, decision documentation, and driving accountability for action closure
