About this role
Serval seeks the founding Solutions Engineer to lead technical pre-sales for an AI-native enterprise automation platform. You'll own the entire technical sales cycle with sophisticated IT and security buyers, build the SE playbook from scratch, and shape how the company demonstrates and validates its intelligent workflow automation platform.
What you'll do
- Conduct discovery, technical demos, architecture reviews, and security evaluations with prospective enterprise customers
- Design and scope pilot use cases by integrating with customer tech stacks (Okta, Entra, ITSM, MDM, HRIS, SaaS platforms)
- Serve as subject matter expert on AI agent governance, security controls, access management, and compliance requirements
- Build foundational SE tools including demo environments, reference architectures, evaluation frameworks, and competitive positioning
- Execute clean handoffs to Deployment team with complete technical context after pilot kickoff
- Partner with product and engineering to address field objections and close feature gaps

- Solutions engineering and pre-sales technical leadership (5+ years)
- Enterprise IT and identity stack (Okta, Entra, SCIM, ITSM, SaaS admin, APIs)
- Security architecture and access management (least-privilege, JIT access, audit logging)
- AI/LLM systems and intelligent agent deployment in enterprise environments
- Live troubleshooting and technical credibility with CIOs and security leaders
- Integration architecture and API-based systems
- Executive communication and technical storytelling
- ITSM, IGA, or access management product experience (preferred)
