About this role
Sesame is seeking a senior mechanical engineer to design and lead the mechanical architecture of a wearable voice-agent device. You'll own the complete mechanical development lifecycle—from system integration and thermal design to prototyping and manufacturing—collaborating across hardware and software teams to bring a cutting-edge wearable to market.
What you'll do
- Architect, design, and prototype mechanical systems for compact wearable form factors with integrated sensing and computing
- Generate CAD models, drawings, simulations, and specifications for internal teams and manufacturing partners
- Serve as mechanical expert supporting cross-functional collaboration with electrical, firmware, industrial design, and materials teams
- Identify, evaluate, and direct materials and fabrication partners for component manufacturing
- Define and establish mechanical engineering tool flows and design processes
- Travel as needed to support prototyping, testing, and production activities
