About this role
Shield AI seeks a Quality Engineer I to support the development and production readiness of the X-BAT aircraft platform. You'll work across the product lifecycle performing quality assessments, risk analysis, failure investigations, and verification activities while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards.
What you'll do
- Support quality engineering activities throughout X-BAT product development lifecycle
- Partner with design teams to identify risks and establish appropriate quality controls
- Participate in design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, and test milestones from quality perspective
- Lead or support root cause analysis and RCCA activities using structured methodologies
- Manage nonconforming material and prototype hardware including investigation and disposition
- Support development of inspection, test, and verification strategies based on product risk
