About this role

Sierra seeks a Software Engineer to design and deploy production AI agents for healthcare organizations, managing the full lifecycle from pilot to deployment. You'll work directly with health plans, providers, and platforms to build empathetic, HIPAA-compliant agents that improve patient experiences around benefits, scheduling, billing, and care coordination.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship production-grade AI agents handling sensitive patient and member interactions with strict HIPAA compliance
  • Own the complete Agent Development Life Cycle from initial pilot through deployment and continuous iteration
  • Partner directly with healthcare executives and technical teams to understand their challenges and translate needs into agent solutions
  • Develop deep expertise in healthcare workflows, EHR integrations, payer/provider operations, and healthcare data standards
  • Inform Sierra's platform evolution by surfacing unmet customer needs and prototyping new tools and features
  • Experiment with latest voice models and integrate them at scale for secure, compliant healthcare interactions
