SimSpace is seeking a skilled Infrastructure/Data Center Operations Engineer to ensure the reliability and smooth operation of their critical data center and virtualization infrastructure. This hands-on role combines VMware expertise with data center management, troubleshooting, and documentation, playing a vital part in maintaining a high-availability environment and supporting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

What you'll do

  • Manage and troubleshoot VMware-based infrastructure, including vCenter environments.
  • Perform data center tasks like rack-and-stack, cable management, and hardware maintenance.
  • Respond to monitoring alerts, participate in incident resolution, and contribute to root-cause analysis.
  • Create and maintain accurate infrastructure documentation and diagrams.
  • Perform basic Linux administration and network configuration/troubleshooting.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
